About Me

IMG_5853.jpeg

My name is Jacob and I have always felt a deep connection to nature since I was a child.  Growing up, I did nothing but watch Planet Earth and other wildlife documentaries.  I just couldn't get enough...

So, fast forward to today and I had this amazing opportunity to spend 2019 doing a massive whirlwind tour of the US National Parks.  Since I began this quest I have visited 51 of 62 National Parks and counting.

Seeing so much of the country only made me want to see what the world had to offer.  I want to find the most pristine locations around the globe.  These places may or may not actually be protected, but I want to see what can be done to make sure they stay as pristine as I find them and to help repair those parks in need of a helping hand.

This project called Patchwork Eden will be focused and mapping out these untouched natural wonders so that they can be protected (or protected more sustainably).

Having so many individual parks, as islands of wilderness in a manmade ocean is not conducive to sustainable conservation of these areas; or to the health of the planet.

With your help we can map out the areas around the world in need of protection and we can take raise awareness to help preserve large tracts of wilderness for future generations, rather than letting these current parks become green dots on a concrete map.
